Tweed Coats & Boots

Updated: Jul 25, 2021

I seem to have an addiction to tweed coats and boots!

My favourite tweed coats come from Joules in the UK, a shop I discovered while on a working holiday. I have 3 in different colours and love them all!

The boots in this pic are last seasons Dublin boots but I have to say my all time

favourites are my Dubarry boots. I was fascinated on the same trip to UK to see a man at Badminton Horse Trials standing in his Dubarry boots in a bucket of water all day without getting wet feet. They seemed to cost an arm and a leg at the time, but before I returned to NZ I simply had to have a pair. I‘m now on my second pair which is pretty good going given it was 16 years ago I purchased my original pair. They are smart enough to wear to town, keep your feet warm and toasty even in the current mud, and if need be you can even ride in them at a pinch. If you you want to invest in a classy pair of boots that will last and last they are well worth it. The Rider Shop has a great selection.
